Environmental Design
This collection highlights my approach to immersive and experiential design, creating spaces that engage audiences and enhance event atmospheres. With a focus on visual storytelling and cohesive brand experiences, each project is crafted to connect with viewers on an emotional level. From stage designs to interactive elements, my work aims to transform spaces into memorable environments that resonate with audiences. Tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects have been key in bringing these large-scale concepts to life.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The environmental design for the SKZ ENCOUNTERS US meet & greet event embodies the vibrant energy of a concert setting. Design elements include a 25’ x 40’ mesh stage backdrop, two 10’ x 25’ speaker tower mesh banners, and a 9’ x 65’ peak banner. Extensive research was conducted to identify an ideal venue, informing the design’s practical considerations and limitations.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The design concept centers around three digital screens spanning the stage, accompanied by speaker banners at each end. The goal was to integrate typography throughout the space, ensuring that it harmonized with the overall design rather than competing with it. This approach fosters an engaging environment that enhances the audience’s experience.
AESTHETICS
Each digital screen display showcases diverse imagery and typography, including the group’s name, member photos, SKZOO characters, and live voting results from the companion app. Considerations were made regarding viewing distances and angles to optimize visibility. Animated icons and elements from the LoveStay version of the companion app contribute a playful dimension, while SKZOO characters are featured in a constellation-inspired design on the side screens. The center screen is reserved for member photos, utilizing large typography for clear visibility of their names in both SKZOO and stage formats.
This environmental design elevates the event’s visual impact and strengthens the connection between the audience and the performers, creating memorable moments throughout the SKZ ENCOUNTERS US experience.
