Package Design

This collection showcases my work in packaging design, including projects for both new brand creations and redesigns of existing brands.

Each package was carefully crafted, printed, cut, and assembled by hand, with professional printing support from the UPS Store, to bring the designs to life. Through these projects, I honed skills in brand storytelling, layout composition, and precision in print production.

I utilized tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Stock, Figma, and Procreate to develop and refine these designs.

Grim Cereal Co

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Grim Cereal Co.’s Cereal Killers is a unique product line developed to target a specific adult audience, primarily Millennials aged 20 to 35. The cereal line is inspired by the growing cultural fascination with true crime, horror movies, and dark humor. The goal is to fill a gap in the market for adults who enjoy cereal but feel disconnected from the typical offerings, which often lean toward bland or overly health-conscious branding. Cereal Killers brings back the fun and excitement of childhood cereals while appealing to adults who love spooky themes and clever wordplay.

AESTHETICS

The overall aesthetic of Cereal Killers draws heavily from horror themes, incorporating dark, moody color palettes and graphic design elements that mimic the style of true crime and thriller genres. The use of bold typography and eerie illustrations creates a visual experience that is both playful and slightly unnerving, designed to appeal to adult consumers who are nostalgic for childhood but enjoy more mature, thematic content. Each cereal box features puns and spooky imagery, further enhancing the product’s unique appeal while maintaining a cohesive brand identity across the line.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project involved redesigning the packaging for Pacifica’s Lavender Moon lotion bottle.

While the original packaging does not include a box, this concept envisions encasing the product in a box that harmonizes with the bottle’s existing design to enhance its visual appeal on the shelf.

The redesign focused on creating packaging that is visually aligned with Pacifica’s brand identity while addressing practical concerns related to print quality and assembly.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Gentle Giants rebranding project, undertaken by the Vector Vibes design team, aimed to elevate and modernize a brand that already had a unique story and mission but struggled to connect with a contemporary audience. Gentle Giants, founded by Burt Ward and his wife, focuses on providing premium, nutritious pet food that promotes longevity for pets. However, its original packaging lacked visual appeal, clarity, and a cohesive message, making it a prime candidate for a design overhaul.

Why Gentle Giants Was Chosen

The original Gentle Giants packaging, while heartfelt, was cluttered, text-heavy, and visually outdated. It didn’t adequately communicate the brand’s dedication to high-quality, health-focused pet nutrition, nor did it appeal to new customers seeking premium, natural pet food options.

Rebranding Gentle Giants allowed us to enhance its market appeal, clarify its messaging, and create a distinctive, memorable aesthetic that would engage a broader audience while honoring the brand’s values.
